Hyperhidrosis refers to a condition that causes excessive sweating, typically in the underarms. This can be embarrassing and uncomfortable with unsightly clothing stains and sweat patches. This is treated using a neurotoxin injected under the skin to interrupt the nerve pulses and reduce excessive sweating.
WHO WILL BE INJECTING?
Dr Ali Hussain is a skilled injector with over 15 years experience and you can be assured that at AH Cosmetic Clinic you will be injected by the doctor himself.
HOW LONG UNTIL I SEE A RESULT?
After your injections have been completed, it takes 2 to 3 days for the treatment to begin taking effect, and about 5 to 8 days to see the full results, for this reason we recommend that you plan to have these injections a minimum of 2 weeks before any special events.
HOW MUCH WILL IT COST ME?
At AH Cosmetic Clinic we charge for neurotoxin injections by the area, so regardless of the number of units you require the price will remain the same. Be mindful that neurotoxin injections must be reconstituted so if a clinic is charging by unit they may be ‘watering-down’ or diluting the amount of product available per unit. *Unit pricing available upon request*
HOW LONG WILL THE TREATMENT TAKE & WHAT IS THE DOWNTIME?
The treatment of hyperhidrosis is a quick procedure. You will require a consultation with Dr Ali Hussain to confirm your suitability before injecting, the value of the consultation will be deducted from your final total on the day. In total, you should reserve approximately half an hour. You can return to your daily activities immediately after the procedure, however, you must avoid hot showers and exercise for a period of 24 hours post treatment.
WHAT ARE THE SIDE EFFECTS?
As with any injectable treatment there is a small risk of short term redness, tenderness or bruising. Rare risks include temporary headache, nausea, flu-like syndrome may last for few days but always resolves.
